The Performance Doctor: Build Systems, Not Drama

The Founder OS Part 7 of 7: All growth is simple math.

Scaling is in everyone’s mind at one point or another.

Have you ever been asked where you see yourself in 3, 5, 10 years?

This question is all about scaling. Both personally and professionally.

Have you ever answered this question honestly?

I’ve always laughed at the 10 year question. Honestly it’s such a long time frame and in today’s day and age… what could happen in 10 years is now happening in five.

The real question should be:

What can you accomplish now that you think you need 5 years?

Third, and finally, you assess the amount of time you are wasting, thinking there’s a secret specific path to get there.

Most of the time we can accomplish in 3 what you thought you’d be able to accomplish in five. It’s a really good exercise to get you to think about the speed of scaling.

If you haven’t answered this question in the last 6 months. Go ahead. Answer it now.

You cannot scale without a plan, and you can’t move forward without knowing wh

Do you have to start with scaling in mind? No, but you’ll get there and it’s a good problem to have. That means you are growing.

We like growth.
